Yes, I managed to make a game using Gamemaker 6. Here's the link to it:

As for the game itself, the name's Gal'Ziorb. You have the option of piloting one of three fighters to destroy the Gal'Ziorb alien cruiser. If I were you, upon starting the game, I would view the help file; it will tell you how to get started. Enjoy!

EDIT: Nevermind, it appears it doesn't tell you how to get started, so I'll tell you that. Notice that by each fighter, its name is by it. The first letter of its name, which is in italics, is what you need to press to fly that ship. For example, to fly the Lancer-class bomber, press the L key. To quit, press Q.
