    Spell Failed?

I was on Eternal with a wizard with some barbarian/fighter/whatver on my tail. I started casting Negative Energy Ray, but the spell failed all of a sudden due to Arcane Spell Failure. I wasn't taunted, wearing armor (other than clothes), or anything. Does anyone know why this happened?

Did it happen more than once? As in every time you tried? Or was it just the once?

If it was just the one time, most likely it was because you had spell failure due to deafness or similar that you didn't notice.
Network security is like the Y2k bug, except without the time limit
And from a book on network security no less, shocking.

That would probably explain it, as someone had cast Great Thunderclap.

Yeah, great thunderclap is awesome to use on other mages. You get all kinds of arcane spell failure.

For a while there, I had no idea Deafness caused Arcane Spell Failure. Oh well.
