You create a character and choose the gender, species, and clothes on the first screen. there are some new clothes and they aren't too bad overall.

next you get the normal option on your appearance and then choose one of the nine profs from screen of pics.

you begin on a space installation that is being attacked by the empire apparently all to acquire you as you are special, Don't yoy feel special already? Well you should since C-3PO is on the com link guiding you on getting out of the acta tank cell you are in and getting equipped...you even get to blow up some crates and the lock on your cell. (3P0 is voice animated and decently but not perfectly)

upon opening your cell door you get more special as Han Solo, Chewie, and R2-D2 greet you and commend you on your skillful escape. they lead you to a hangar where the falcon is parked and you help them blast 3 storm troopers there for you (apparently the galaxy is low on people that can point and click with a blaster).

once they are down Han and 3PO tell you frantically to board the falcon, currently thats not as easy as it sounds and takes a long time many trys, luck, frustration, and occasionally a reset.

once on board the falcon you are asked to man a turret while chewie and han rig the hyperdrive(of course). This is standard jtl mult person ship turret fight and after 3-4 ties get blasted they call you down and jump out and there are cut sequences of you landing at a space station.

once on the station you do missions for han and his friends on the station as well as some profession specific missions. these vary from go tell people things to go kill some people. the station is 3 levels with a middle circular area on each level that is quit large. on the main level(middle) it is a cantina and the side rooms are hangars and offices. on the lower level it is a droid repair room with the side rooms being cargo slots. the upper level is mainly just the center part and is the atrium with planets and some small creatures for target practice.

besides the mission you can blast rogue droids in the droid repair, creatures like mynocks in the atrium, and training droids in the office slots, and their are some rooms with hutt crimnals to blast as well.

well this seems a good time to explain combat. first and formost get ready to click. you cursor over the target and click for default attack which for ranged is a blaster bolt with decent speed of refire. for melee from what i saw its hits of the fist. this is the main/default attack with the left mouse button.

you have a toolbar that you can place your specials on(they auto go there as well) and you can click one of them or hit the number to pick what your special attack is. the right mouse click does the special attack. the right click attacks have cool down times and you can switch between them in a fight. they are helpful but at least early on i left clicked much more than right cicked due to cooldown timers and ease.

The comment that combat is quicker is questionable it seems that way at times esp. early on but higher level stuff takes longer and seems more like normal by level 7-10. You also can put items in the hot buttons or macros and choose them and right click activates them. I used a grenade in this fashion on my commando.

the interface seems a bit combersome if you like the old one. its not as bad if you used the key combos to get to windows before but i was a clicker and my handy butons are gone replaced with a menu that you can pull up still tho this isn't too bad.

the missions are a vast improvement over the standard fare and with the new quest interface it makes even things like the old kash missions seems a bit clunky so thats a positive.

the story and interaction, the cinematics, and the voice acting all make it very invovling for a while.

by level 5 i was dying to leave the station esp. since the jtl mission/terminal was bugged. so han finally let me leve and go to mos eisley with him.

once there you lose the star escort and deal with local towns people to progress still involving but before long it starts to get a bit old. You get experience and money for these missions on top of the loot and xp off of each kill so this is probably a good thing to do tho.

I have not left tatooine yet, i did see terminals and look at missions briefly but at my level they hardly seemed worth it except if i could get one that correlated with my quest.

you get a weapon and clothing specific to your profession early on and they have mods in the clothes so eventhough they are likely less stylish than the starter clothes you wore for the first hour they are preferable.

thats all i can say on first blast ask questions away
